Becoming a Hospice Health Care Network Volunteer

Volunteers are an integral part of our program at Hospice Health Care Network . Volunteers are compassionate individuals who have a desire to serve the community by providing for end-of-life patients and their families in a variety of ways.

Patient Care

• Visiting with patients/families, providing friendship/companionship
• Emotional Support
• Respite
• Run errands
• Transportation
• Light housekeeping chores
• Cooking

Administrative Support

• Clerical assistance
• Filing
• Phones
• Data entry

Bereavement

• Support with families through personal phone calls and cards
• Assistance with bereavement events – coordinating gatherings, memorial services, etc.
